Inauguration of 15 New School Buildings Worth 192 Million Afghanis in Paktika Province by the Acting Minister of Education

Alhaj Mawlawi Habibullah Agha, Acting Minister of Education, along with his accompanying delegation, visited Paktika province during an official trip to the southeastern provinces of the country. He attended a ceremony held to mark the inauguration of 15 newly constructed school buildings in the provincial center and 14 districts of Paktika.
According to officials from the Ministry of Education, the construction of these school buildings—initiated last year with the financial cooperation of partner organizations—cost a total of 192 million Afghanis. All buildings have been constructed according to new and standardized designs, including classrooms, administrative offices, restrooms, drinking water systems, and electricity. Their construction has now been completed and officially inaugurated by the Acting Minister of Education.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Acting Minister of Education emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality of education alongside providing a suitable learning environment for students and preparing knowledgeable and skilled individuals for society. He stated:
“Our goal is not just to build schools, but also to improve the quality of education, train teachers, and provide the necessary learning materials in order to create a standardized educational environment for students and help move society toward progress.”
Following this, Mr. Makhdum Abdul Salam Saadat, Deputy Governor of Paktika, welcomed the leadership of the Ministry of Education and stated:
“The construction of such school buildings is a significant achievement in the education sector for Paktika province.”
Similarly, Mullah Abdul Wakil Khalid, Head of Education department in Paktika, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry for their efforts in expanding education to rural areas, saying:
“The construction of these schools marks the beginning of a positive educational and developmental transformation in our province. We are committed to maintaining and utilizing them properly for the education of children and students.”
It is worth noting that residents of the mentioned areas, especially the parents of students, praised this initiative by the Ministry of Education. In addition to warmly welcoming it, they described it as a practical step toward improving educational facilities provided by the Ministry.
