Senior Technical Specialist School Mapping System developmen
The most important aspect of the planning in CBE is related to the location of the CBE classes. The process of location planning in education is called “School Mapping’. It is the dynamic process of identifying logically and systematically the untouched and hard to reach communities and sites where educational facilities provided in the plan are to be located. It requires systematic effort designed to locate educational facilities in such a manner that targeted age groups of the population are able to use facilities to their maximum advantages. A comprehensive system is required at central and provincial level for School mapping which can help us identify school locations for CBE. Such a system has to be maintained, and its data has to be kept updated and validated on regular basis. School mapping system shall also be integrated with central systems of MoE to have a unied system.
PCOs’ Team Leader by Ministry of Education (MoE) in Kabul
The PCO Team Leader is to develop and maintain a network of Provincial Coordination Ocers (PCOs) for CBE program that is responsible to implement, monitor and support Community-based Education (CBE) component of EQRA at provincial level. PCOs will not only be responsible for the successful implementation of the CBE component of the EQRA project but also assist the General Education Departments at the provincial level to strengthen their capacity in ensuring improved delivery of educational services and will also act as facilitators/supporters to other components of the EQRA project that are to be implemented within the jurisdiction of GED like Early Childhood Education (ECE), Coaching and Mentoring, Data quality improvement and teachers’ performance.
